Hello!

I'm Jamison Leach

I'm going into my second year of LSA at ESF. I live on Long Island and will be commuting to the city for this course. So, if anyone is from the Island and hopping on at Ronkonkoma maybe we can commute together.

I am not a real urban guy (have only been in NYC for plays and a little exploring ~ high line).  I'd rather be skiing in winter or fishing in summer.  I've done some travelling with my family (Utah to Aruba to Vermont to name a few) but I really liked Halifax, Nova Scotia for its beauty and history.

I took a lot of Gen Ed this year so I'm hoping this course helps me to understand the role LSA has in impacting a major city like New York.

Looking forward to meeting you all next week; quick question:  what kind of materials are you bringing? I thought small sketch book and notebook and camera (phone good enough?). Any other electronics do you think?

Hey Jamison!
(Do you go by that or a nickname?)
I brought my computer just because I wasn't sure Weebly would work on the iPad, and I was having difficulty with it. But a sketchbook and camera were my items of choice as well.
I don't have a phone with a good camera, so I brought the big one, but I think it all depends on what you plan to do with the pictures, for most situations, a phone would be enough I think. I like to take some of the shots I get and work with them after, so I want more control of the shots, and resolution. I haven't picked up a notebook yet, good call, thanks! Oh, a good water bottle! That should totally be on your daily pack list, personal opinion. Maybe a hat and/or sunscreen? Depends on how you are with sun, but I assume we will be out all day based on the schedule.
Anyone else have thought on this?
