I’m pretty satisfied with this video I took on Roosevelt Island tram in the 1st day in NYC. It’s a wonderful 4 minutes that I have enjoyed several times these days.

In the final film, I am going to talk about my understanding of landscape based on the experience in this week, there will be several episodes (noise, history, context, activity, emotion, etc.), and this panoramic shot will be divided into corresponding parts, acts as the opening film leader, gives audience a continuous sense of place, a metropolitan context.

yes, this is a very well executed shot, and perfeclty set for the tracking shot we were exploring today. well done. it could be interesting to have a similar shot of the ferry crossing the water, and mayve one of crossing under the east river on the subway (as we will later this afternoon)? this way you would have 3 ways of experiencing the passage across the river? this could be a film. remember, don't try and do too much with these films, focus on a simple, clear idea.

I think the speed of tram is really helpful, the whole video is like a nice rendering. The transaction from Roosevelt island to Manhattan presents the difference between a quiet small island and a crowed larger island.

Crossing Manhattan through the subway is really fun and exciting experience.
