Hunter’s Point South Park was a discarded post-industry area until the recently renovation to a park providing the public a beautiful accessible waterfront with many facilities. The sound track of helicopters flying along Hunter waterfront is very overwhelming and loud that people might feel it annoying. However, it does remind me I am not too far from the Manhattan and tourist territory although the Hunter is not tourist yet.

The park’s goal is to be a resilient zone for stormproof, community-friendly and sustainable environment at the same time keeping the historical integrity of its industrial character of the site originally. The deck of Hunter is mostly made of IPE which is a recycling and hard wood. The events and programs are arranged and scattered throughout the park such as dog-run and bikeway, being sustainable community. The sunken circular platform is meant to trap the flood to avoid of washing out soon without building hard infrastructure like wall to prevent the water. The sound track shows the landscape is not determined visually but also taking sound experience like a soundscape.

by this time you should be starting to focus on a particular theme for the film, and gather materials that will help you produce the film when you're back in Syracuse next week. so my question is: how does footage of birds and helicopters suit your end goals in this project?
