In this trip, it is easy to find an element repetition when construction approach to a specific scale. The main reason for the repetition of an element, which I suspect is because of economic issue and consistent esthetics. Obviously, the same module can create benefit by saving time and energy, which is mean people can very easy to produce and assemble all the component in a short time. On the other hand, the pattern can be created by repetitive elements. Moreover, it could be united the visual consistently by the same language of design. The scale of landscape architecture is varied, but still bigger than architecture (traditional definition). So, the pattern is very easy to apply in this kind of scale. Landscape architect can use the pattern design to create a consistent environment to allow people to access nature. Not only the pattern on the ground can create that effect, but also the other dimensions pattern plays the same important role to enhance the conversation with nature. The photos above are talking about different dimensions of pattern, such as the facade, pavement and tectonic. Of course, some of the photos are not formal pattern, which creates by landscape architecture. Those patterns of photo are natural form by people or city itself. For example, the row of bicycles is made by people, but the high line provides this perspective by extending the platform to allow people to see that by this way. The trains are also seen this way, because of this higher platform are allowed people to cross. The other truly issue for me is that how to use the artificial hardware to merge the natural software. It seems a very crucial practice for landscape architect. Landscape architect has a chance to observe the natural pattern to apply on the artificial hardware. It allowed entire environment is consistently by the same language. Even they did some transformation or metaphor skill. It is a great chance to look at all the pattern in the same day and observed the relationship between natural and artificial hardware.
